Learn how to tie a simple and commonly used quick-release knot so you can tie your horse to a post or other immovable object safely.

If you’re tying a horse to a post or other immovable object, the safest way to do so is with a quick-release knot. That way, if your horse spooks or panics, you can simply pull the end of the rope to free him.
